Dive sites on Bali

House reef, Candi dasa
Like the name implies, this site is right in front of the school and used for lessons but also very useful for long relaxed dives since the depth rarely exceeds 10 meters.

USAT Liberty Shipwreck, Tulamben
Know as the easiest wreck dive in the world, the Liberty wreck is 10 to 30 meters below water surface (making it easy to study even when snorkeling) and harbors a multitude of species, not found on other locations such as
garden eels, massive groupers and even more massive napoleon fish (especially at night dives).

Drop off, Tulamben
A great dive to go deep. At 29 meters a beautiful 2 meter high gorgonian can be found, while on the way there or the way back you more often than not will bump into bumphead parrotfish.

Amed
Calm dive site that features a lot of soft corals.

Gili Tepekong / Mimpang
A wild location, only advised for the more experienced diver because of the sometimes strong vertical currents. However the untamed nature of this location also attracts the greater pelagic species and it's not uncommon to see many white tip reef sharks here.

Blue Lagoon
Just from the harbor from padang bai, blue lagoon is also a very easy dive. At night the Spanish dancer is spotted here frequently.

Turtle Bay
Aptly named, almost always does the diver encounter one or more popular sea turtles at this location.

Nusa Penida
The small island located below Bali harbors lots of locations that are still pristine and have gorgeous corals.

Lembongan
Located next to Nusa Penida, the small strait between both islands attracts schools of fish and other interesting organisms.

Manta point
A cleaning station frequented by Manta rays, this is the location to find yourself surrounded by these gracious big fish. Movies made at manta point:
Manta ray 1,
Manta ray 2,
Manta ray 3.

Crystal bay
A location with thermocline and tough current, but the pay off is a chance at seeying the elusive Mola Mola better known as Ocean sunfish. A movie of a Mola-Mola at Crystal bay:
Mola-Mola / ocean sunfish.
